Who we are

A tree firm that also builds the garden back

Everyday Arborist works on trees and the ground around them, which is less common than it sounds. Most outfits do one or the other.

That matters on the jobs where a tree comes out and something has to take its place. The stump is ground, the ground is made good, and the turf or the planting goes in without a second contractor, a second visit and a second quote.

The work itself is unglamorous and precise. Rigging a limb down over a conservatory, reducing a crown to the right growth points, cutting a hedge so it thickens instead of going bare at the base. It is a craft, and it is worth doing properly.

Our approach

How we go about the work

No certifications or client list to wave at you here, so this is simply how the job is done.

We look before we quote

Tree work priced off a photograph tends to be wrong. We come and see the tree, the access, and what is underneath it, then put the price in writing with the scope spelled out.

The right cut, not the easy one

Topping a tree is quick and it ruins it. We reduce to suitable growth points so the tree responds properly, and we say so when the honest answer is that a tree needs removing rather than reducing.

The site goes back tidy

Brash chipped, timber cut and stacked or taken away, and the ground raked over. Clearing down is part of the job, not an extra line on the invoice.

Straight answers about permissions

We check for Tree Preservation Orders and conservation area status before any work is agreed, and we will tell you plainly when an application to the council is needed.

How it works

From first call to a tidy site

Four stages, with no surprises in the middle. We do not quote timescales we cannot keep, so dates are agreed with you rather than promised up front.

  1. 1

Tell us what you are dealing with

A call or the enquiry form. Roughly what the tree is, how close it sits to the house or the boundary, and what is prompting the work.

  2. 2

    We come and look

A site visit to see the tree, the access and anything underneath it. This is where the scope gets settled and where we flag anything you may not have thought about.

  3. 3

    A written quote

What will be cut, what happens to the arisings, and what the site will look like afterwards. If a council application is needed, you hear it here, not later.

  4. The work, then the clear up

We agree a date, work to the scope, and leave the site raked over. Timber and chip go or stay, whichever you asked for.
